Oh, but what if you want to save a video story? Well, you’ve got the trusty Screen Recording option. But what if you want a story saved, without all the Instagram info (who posted it, when it was posted, and the send message option)? Well, if you tap and hold the story in the middle of the screen, every detail will disappear, leaving you with a clear picture of the story. The story timer and all the information usually located in the upper part of the story screen won’t be visible. Tap these buttons and your entire story will be saved to Photos. Depending on whether your story is a photo or a video, you’ll get to select Save Photo or Save Video. Once you’ve found the story that you want to save, tap the three-dot icon in the lower-right corner of the screen. Alternatively, go to your Instagram profile and tap your profile photo to view your stories. Tap here and you’ll get to see all your currently active stories. The leftmost circular image is going to be your own profile photo, representing your stories. Now, go to the homepage and swipe the stories (circular images) all the way to the left. ![]() If you want to download stories to your iPhone, you’re going to have to take a different approach. You could save your own stories in highlights, but that still isn’t downloading them.
